EmbarkNow

A parish is a business in miniature, run by a handful of people with no single system and no single boss.

The problem

Nobody owns this problem, because it does not fit one department.

EmbarkNow is our sister platform: a 501(c)(3) cooperative running the same substrate for congregations and mission-driven organizations.

A parish is a business in miniature — finances, stewardship, volunteers, formation, pastoral care and governance — run by a handful of people with no single system and no single boss.

  • Cross-functional: finance, stewardship, formation, pastoral care, governance.
  • Requires interoperability across ChMS, accounting, email and the field.
  • No single source of truth, and leadership turns over every few years.

Meet the team

Roles first. Named so you know who to ask, not to seem human.

Every member is a role with a defined scope of expertise, the data it reads, the decisions it owns and the point at which it must hand off. The name is only an identifier for that role instance.

Names are ours to start with. You can rename any member. Names editable

Sub-teams

A team is not flat. It has units, and units have squads.

Like a football team: an offense, a defense, a coaching staff, a scouting operation and a front office — and inside each, specialist squads. Pick a unit, then open a squad to see what it enacts and who is in it.

A congregation's finances, volunteers and pastoral care are one system. EmbarkNow runs it as one team with five units.

Coaching staff · 2 squads

The plan every squad answers to, and the orchestrator that sequences them.

Signal to recorded decision.

  1. 01

    Signal

Giving falls short in month two. The signal comes from the deposits, not from a year-end surprise.

  2. 02

    Team forms

Bookkeeper, Steward and Institutional Memory assemble around the shortfall.

  3. 03

    Work

Fund Accountant forecasts the year-end impact. Stewardship & Giving Steward proposes a campaign within vestry-approved limits.

  4. 04

    Governance

Institutional Memory Keeper recalls what worked during a prior leadership transition, and what did not.

  5. 05

    Decision recorded

The rector approves. The decision, its reasoning and its result are recorded for the next rector.

Capabilities

What the team does, week after week.

  • Fund accounting, monthly forecast and board packet.
  • Stewardship campaigns inside approved limits.
  • Volunteer and formation coordination.
  • Grant discovery, drafting and reporting.
  • Field data collection over WhatsApp and web.
  • Institutional memory that survives leadership transitions.

Member ownership

EmbarkNow is a cooperative. Members pay per job and own their data.

What the cooperative learns lowers everyone's price. A congregation is never asked to fund a discovery it cannot use.

A fixed share of commercial revenue from iQueue funds the mission side.

The guarantee

Everyone logs agent actions. We keep the books. Logs can't set a guaranteed price — books can.

Every competitor asks you to trust a demo. We ask you to read a contract.

Every digital worker is bonded

Each member of each team carries a bond. The team is accountable for the work, not just for the effort.

Fixed price, guaranteed result

Every job sits on a price list with a stated result. No seats. No token meters. If a job fails, we pay.

We keep the books

For every job we have ever run we hold what it cost, which model ran it, and whether it worked — pooled across thousands of organizations.

Hire the team. Keep the plan alive.
